It Iz Time To Say BOO!

The first Halloween for a Gluten-Free kid can be spooooky and scary! It can often seem more like a trick than a treat to collect sweets that you can eat. However, so many children with food allergies, food intolerances, and Celiac disease look forward to celebrating Halloween each year—you are never alone, so there is no reason to get spooked!

Here are some tips that have never failed me during my past Halloween experiences!

· Never go trick-or-treating hungry. Make sure your stomach can wait if you are craving a Gluten-Free goodie!

· Make sure you have a trusted adult to read every ingredient carefully.

· Call the host before a party to make sure there is an option for you.

Every Halloween, my family makes these delicious Gluten-Free festive brownies! They are super fun to bake and craft with any family or friends, especially for a Halloween get together or a party! My favorite memory goes back a few years ago when my mom and I put on our aprons and made these treats for a friend’s party. Not only did every Gluten-Free person at the party love the brownies, but even the people with no food allergies enjoyed them too!
